Shah Rukh Khan (created Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), also known as SRK, is an Indian film professional, television and producer personality. Referred to in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan commenced his job with appearances in several tv set series in the overdue 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in lady family in New Delhi. He spent the first five many years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the chief engineer of the port in the 1960s. Khan was raised in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi. His father had several businesses including a restaurant, and the grouped family resided a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's College in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in athletics such as hockey and sports, and received the school's highest award, the Sword of Honour. In his children, he acted in stage plays and received reward for his imitations of Bollywood stars, of which his favourites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Mumtaz and Bachchan.
