Shah Rukh Khan (delivered Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), also known as SRK, is an Indian film actor, television and producer personality. Described in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in woman family in New Delhi. He spent the first five years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the principle engineer of the port in the 1960s. Regarding to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an cultural Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he is a Pathan from Peshawar and his complete family used to speak Hindko vocabulary at home. Khan's father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian freedom activist in Peshawar, British isles India (present-day Pakistan). As of 2010, Khan's paternal family was still moving into Shah Wali Qataal portion of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and associated with the All Indian Country wide Congress. He moved to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mom, Lateef Fatima, was the child of a mature authorities engineer. His parents were wedded in 1959. Khan grew in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi up. His father had several business ventures including a restaurant, and the family lived a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's University in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in sports such as hockey and basketball, and received the school's highest award, the Sword of Honour. In his young ones, he acted in stage plays and received reward for his imitations of Bollywood actors, which his favourites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Mumtaz. One of his childhood friends and acting partners was Amrita Singh, who became a Bollywood actress. Khan enrolled at Hansraj College (1985-88) to earn his bachelor's level in Economics, but put in much of his time at Delhi's Theater Action Group (Label), where he researched performing under the mentorship of theater director Barry John. After Hansraj, he started learning for a master's level in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but left to go after his acting job. He also attended the National College of Play in Delhi during his early on profession in Bollywood. His dad died of malignancy in 1981, and his mother died in 1991 from issues of diabetes. Following the death of their parents, his older sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, delivered in 1960, fell into a depressed Khan and status required on the responsibility of looking after her. Shahnaz continues to live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.


Although Khan was given the delivery name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and it is described by the acronym SRK commonly. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, in a traditional Hindu marriage ceremony on 25 October 1991, after a six-year courtship. They have a son Aryan (blessed 1997) and a child Suhana (delivered 2000). In 2013, they truly became parents of your third child named AbRam, who was born through a surrogate mother. According to Khan, while he feels in Islam firmly, he also prices his wife's faith. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an is situated next to the Hindu deities.
