Shah Rukh Khan (blessed Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), known as SRK also, can be an Indian film professional, television and producer personality. Referred to in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan has a significant following in Asia and the Indian diaspora worldwide. In terms of audience income and size, he has been described as one of the very most successful film stars on the planet.

Khan began his career with appearances in a number of tv set series in the past due 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. Khan's philanthropic endeavours have provided healthcare and disaster relief, and he was honoured with UNESCO's Pyramide con Marni award in 2011 for his support of children's education. He regularly features in listings of the most influential people in Indian culture, and in 2008, Newsweek called him one of their fifty most powerful people in the global world.


Khan was created on 2 November 1965 in woman family in New Delhi. He spent the first five many years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the principle engineer of the port in the 1960s. According to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an cultural Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he is a Pathan from Peshawar and his whole family used to speak Hindko terminology at home. Khan's daddy, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian self-reliance activist in Peshawar, United kingdom India (present-day Pakistan). By 2010, Khan's paternal family was still moving into Shah Wali Qataal section of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and affiliated with the All Indian National Congress. He moved to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mom, Lateef Fatima, was the princess of a mature government engineer. His parents were committed in 1959. Khan identified himself on Twitter as "one half Hyderabadi (mother), one half Pathan (dad), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". His paternal cousins in Peshawar declare that the grouped family is of Hindkowan origins from Kashmir, not Pashtun, and also contradict the declare that his grandfather was from Afghanistan.



Khan grew in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi up. His father had several businesses including a restaurant, and the family lived a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's School in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in activities such as hockey and football, and received the school's highest prize, the Sword of Honour. After Hansraj, he started learning for a master's level in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but kept to go after his acting career. He also went to the National University of Play in Delhi during his early profession in Bollywood. His dad died of tumor in 1981, and his mother passed on in 1991 from issues of diabetes. Following the death with their parents, his more aged sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, delivered in 1960, fell into a frustrated Khan and status got on the responsibility of looking after her. Shahnaz continues to live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.


Although Khan was presented with the labor and birth name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is also referred to by the acronym SRK commonly. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, october 1991 in a normal Hindu wedding ceremony on 25, following a six-year courtship. They have a boy Aryan (delivered 1997) and a princess Suhana (created 2000). In 2013, they truly became parents of any third child known as AbRam, who was born through the surrogate mother. Matching to Khan, while he thinks in Islam highly, he also prices his wife's religion. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an can be found next to the Hindu deities.
