Shah Rukh Khan (blessed Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), known as SRK also, is an Indian film acting professional, television and producer personality. Khan was created on 2 November 1965 in a Muslim family in New Delhi. He spent the first five years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the chief engineer of the port in the 1960s. Matching to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an ethnic Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he's a Pathan from Peshawar and his complete family used to speak Hindko terminology at home. Khan's father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian independence activist in Peshawar, United kingdom India (present-day Pakistan). By 2010, Khan's paternal family was still living in Shah Wali Qataal area of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and affiliated with the All Indian Country wide Congress. He moved to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mother, Lateef Fatima, was the daughter of a senior authorities engineer. His parents were committed in 1959. Khan defined himself on Twitter as "1 / 2 Hyderabadi (mother), one half Pathan (daddy), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". Khan grew in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi up. His father had several businesses including a restaurant, and the grouped family resided a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's University in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in sports such as hockey and soccer, and received the school's highest prize, the Sword of Honour. In his young ones, he acted in level plays and received praise for his imitations of Bollywood actors, of which his favourites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Mumtaz and Bachchan. One of his childhood friends and acting partners was Amrita Singh, who became a Bollywood actress. Khan enrolled at Hansraj College (1985-88) to earn his bachelor's degree in Economics, but put in much of his time at Delhi's Theater Action Group (Label), where he examined operating under the mentorship of theater director Barry John. After Hansraj, he commenced learning for a master's level in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but kept to go after his acting profession. He also attended the National School of Dilemma in Delhi during his early profession in Bollywood. His father died of cancer tumor in 1981, and his mom died in 1991 from issues of diabetes.
