Shah Rukh Khan (blessed Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), also known as SRK, is an Indian film professional, television and producer personality. Referred to in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in woman family in New Delhi. He spent the first five years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the chief engineer of the port in the 1960s. According to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an cultural Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he's a Pathan from Peshawar and his complete family used to speak Hindko vocabulary at home. Khan's daddy, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian freedom activist in Peshawar, United kingdom India (present-day Pakistan). As of 2010, Khan's paternal family was still living in Shah Wali Qataal area of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. He also went to the National Institution of Drama in Delhi during his early job in Bollywood. His daddy died of tumor in 1981, and his mother died in 1991 from complications of diabetes. After the death of these parents, his aged sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, blessed in 1960, dropped into a depressed talk about and Khan required on the duty of caring for her.
