Shah Rukh Khan (created Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), known as SRK also, can be an Indian film acting professional, producer and tv personality. Described in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan has a significant following in Asia and the Indian diaspora worldwide. In conditions of audience size and income, he has been described as one of the very most successful film stars in the global world.

Khan started his career with appearances in several tv set series in the past due 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. Many of his movies display styles of Indian countrywide id and cable connections with diaspora communities, or gender, racial, social and religious distinctions and grievances. For his contributions to film, the national government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri, and the federal government of France awarded him both the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the L?gion d'honneur.



By 2015, Khan is co-chairman of the motion picture development company Red Chillies Entertainment and its own subsidiaries, which is the co-owner of the Indian Top League cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders. He is a frequent television set presenter and stage show performer. The media often label him as "Brand SRK" because of his many endorsement and entrepreneurship ventures. Khan's philanthropic endeavours have provided health care and disaster alleviation, and he was honoured with UNESCO's Pyramide con Marni award in 2011 for his support of children's education. He regularly features in entries of the most important people in Indian culture, and in 2008, Newsweek called him one with their fifty most effective people on the planet.


November 1965 in a Muslim family in New Delhi khan was created on 2. He spent the first five many years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the principle engineer of the port in the 1960s. Relating to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an ethnic Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he's a Pathan from Peshawar and his whole family used to speak Hindko terminology at home. Khan's dad, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian self-reliance activist in Peshawar, British isles India (present-day Pakistan). As of 2010, Khan's paternal family was still surviving in Shah Wali Qataal part of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and affiliated with the All Indian Country wide Congress. He moved to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mom, Lateef Fatima, was the girl of a mature administration engineer. His parents were wedded in 1959. Khan identified himself on Twitter as "one half Hyderabadi (mom), one half Pathan (daddy), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". His paternal cousins in Peshawar declare that the grouped family is of Hindkowan source from Kashmir, not Pashtun, and contradict the claim that his grandfather was from Afghanistan also.



Khan grew in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi up. His father had several businesses including a restaurant, and the family lived a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's Institution in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in sports such as hockey and sports, and received the school's highest honor, the Sword of Honour. In his youth, he acted in stage works and received compliment for his imitations of Bollywood stars, of which his favourites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Mumtaz. One of his childhood friends and acting partners was Amrita Singh, who became a Bollywood actress. Khan enrolled at Hansraj School (1985-88) to earn his bachelor's degree in Economics, but spent much of his time at Delhi's Theatre Action Group (Label), where he analyzed operating under the mentorship of theatre director Barry John. After Hansraj, he began learning for a master's degree in Mass Marketing communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but remaining to follow his acting job. He also went to the National School of Theatre in Delhi during his early on profession in Bollywood. His daddy died of cancer in 1981, and his mom died in 1991 from issues of diabetes. After the death of these parents, his old sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, delivered in 1960, dropped into a stressed out status and Khan took on the duty of caring for her. Shahnaz is constantly on the live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.


Although Khan was given the delivery name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is also described by the acronym SRK commonly. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, in a traditional Hindu marriage ceremony on 25 October 1991, after a six-year courtship. They have a son Aryan (created 1997) and a daughter Suhana (created 2000). In 2013, they became parents of an third child known as AbRam, who was born by using a surrogate mother. Matching to Khan, while he strongly thinks in Islam, he also values his wife's religious beliefs. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an can be found next to the Hindu deities.
