After Hansraj, he started out studying for a master's level in Mass Marketing communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but left to pursue his acting profession. He also went to the National College of Episode in Delhi during his early career in Bollywood. His father died of tumor in 1981, and his mom died in 1991 from problems of diabetes. Following the death with their parents, his old sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, given birth to in 1960, fell into a frustrated talk about and Khan needed on the responsibility of looking after her.
