Shah Rukh Khan (blessed Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), known as SRK also, can be an Indian film acting professional, television and producer personality. Khan began his profession with appearances in several tv series in the late 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. (2001). He earned critical acclaim for his portrayal of any alcoholic in Devdas (2002), a NASA scientist in Swades (2004), a hockey coach in Chak De! India (2007) and a man with Asperger symptoms in My Name Is Khan (2010). His highest-grossing motion pictures include the comedies Chennai Exhibit (2013) and Happy New Yr (2014). Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in a Muslim family in New Delhi. He spent the first five years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the principle engineer of the port in the 1960s. Regarding to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an cultural Pathan was from Afghanistan. Khan's dad, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian self-reliance activist in Peshawar, English India (present-day Pakistan). By 2010, Khan's paternal family was still moving into Shah Wali Qataal area of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and associated with the All Indian Country wide Congress. He transferred to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mom, Lateef Fatima, was the little girl of a mature federal engineer. His parents were hitched in 1959. Khan explained himself on Twitter as "one half Hyderabadi (mom), half Pathan (father), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". His paternal cousins in Peshawar declare that the grouped family is of Hindkowan source from Kashmir, not Pashtun, and contradict the declare that his grandfather was from Afghanistan also.



Khan grew up in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi. His father had several businesses including a restaurant, and the grouped family lived a middle-class life in rented rentals. Khan attended St. Columba's School in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in activities such as hockey and basketball, and received the school's highest award, the Sword of Honour. Khan enrolled at Hansraj College or university (1985-88) to earn his bachelor's level in Economics, but put in a lot of his time at Delhi's Theatre Action Group (Label), where he examined operating under the mentorship of theater director Barry John. After Hansraj, he started out learning for a master's level in Mass Marketing communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but left to go after his acting career. He also attended the National School of Crisis in Delhi during his early profession in Bollywood. His father died of cancer tumor in 1981, and his mother perished in 1991 from problems of diabetes. After the death of these parents, his more mature sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, given birth to in 1960, fell into a depressed Khan and talk about required on the responsibility of looking after her. Shahnaz continues to live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.


Although Khan was given the labor and birth name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is referred to by the acronym SRK commonly. Relating to Khan, while he firmly thinks in Islam, he also values his wife's religious beliefs. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an can be found next to the Hindu deities.
