After Hansraj, he started studying for a master's degree in Mass Marketing communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but kept to pursue his acting job. He also attended the National College of Theatre in Delhi during his early on job in Bollywood. His dad died of cancer tumor in 1981, and his mother perished in 1991 from problems of diabetes. After the death of these parents, his more aged sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, delivered in 1960, dropped into a despondent condition and Khan required on the duty of caring for her. Shahnaz is constantly on the live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.


Although Khan was presented with the delivery name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is also referred to by the acronym SRK commonly. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, october 1991 in a traditional Hindu marriage ceremony on 25, following a six-year courtship. They have a child Aryan (born 1997) and a child Suhana (delivered 2000). In 2013, they became parents of the third child known as AbRam, who was simply born by way of a surrogate mother.
