Shah Rukh Khan (born Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), known as SRK also, can be an Indian film acting professional, television and producer personality. Described in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan began his job with appearances in several television series in the overdue 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. Early in his career, Khan was recognised for portraying villainous tasks in the films Darr (1993), Baazigar (1993) and Anjaam (1994). Then increased to prominence after starring in some romantic movies, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Mohabbatein (2000) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001). He received critical acclaim for his portrayal of alcoholic in Devdas (2002), a NASA scientist in Swades (2004), a hockey coach in Chak De! India (2007) and a man with Asperger syndrome in My Name Is Khan (2010). His highest-grossing movies include the comedies Chennai Exhibit (2013) and Happy New 12 months (2014). Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in woman family in New Delhi. He spent the first five many years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the chief engineer of the port in the 1960s. Corresponding to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an ethnic Pathan was from Afghanistan. Khan's father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian independence activist in Peshawar, British India (present-day Pakistan). Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and affiliated with the All Indian National Congress. He relocated to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mother, Lateef Fatima, was the girl of a mature federal government engineer. His parents were married in 1959. Khan detailed himself on Twitter as "one half Hyderabadi (mother), 50 % Pathan (daddy), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". His paternal cousins in Peshawar declare that the grouped family is of Hindkowan source from Kashmir, not Pashtun, and also contradict the declare that his grandfather was from Afghanistan.



Khan was raised in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi. His father had several business ventures including a restaurant, and the family lived a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's College in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in sports activities such as hockey and soccer, and received the school's highest prize, the Sword of Honour. His dad died of cancer tumor in 1981, and his mother passed away in 1991 from difficulties of diabetes. Although Khan was presented with the beginning name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, which is referred to by the acronym SRK commonly. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, october 1991 in a normal Hindu wedding ceremony on 25, after having a six-year courtship. They have a kid Aryan (born 1997) and a little princess Suhana (delivered 2000). In 2013, they truly became parents of the third child named AbRam, who was born via a surrogate mother. Relating to Khan, while he is convinced in Islam firmly, he also values his wife's faith. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an can be found next to the Hindu deities.
