Shah Rukh Khan (blessed Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), known as SRK also, is an Indian film acting professional, television and producer personality. Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in female family in New Delhi. Khan grew in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi up. His father had several business ventures including a restaurant, and the family lived a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's College in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in sports such as hockey and soccer, and received the school's highest award, the Sword of Honour. In his youngsters, he acted in stage works and received reward for his imitations of Bollywood celebrities, which his favourites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Mumtaz and Bachchan. After Hansraj, he started studying for a master's level in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but remaining to go after his acting profession. He also attended the National Institution of Episode in Delhi during his early profession in Bollywood. His father died of cancer in 1981, and his mother passed away in 1991 from complications of diabetes. Following the death of their parents, his more mature sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, created in 1960, fell into a frustrated Khan and status needed on the duty of caring for her. Shahnaz continues to live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.
Although Khan was given the birth name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is also described by the acronym SRK commonly. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, in a traditional Hindu marriage ceremony on 25 October 1991, after having a six-year courtship. They have a child Aryan (delivered 1997) and a princess Suhana (blessed 2000). In 2013, they truly became parents of the third child known as AbRam, who was born by having a surrogate mother.
