Although Khan was given the beginning name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is also described by the acronym SRK commonly. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, october 1991 in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony on 25, after having a six-year courtship. They have a child Aryan (born 1997) and a girl Suhana (given birth to 2000). In 2013, they became parents of the third child called AbRam, who was born by way of a surrogate mother.
