Khan was created on 2 November 1965 in female family in New Delhi. He spent the first five many years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the chief engineer of the port in the 1960s. Although Khan was given the beginning name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is often referred to by the acronym SRK. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, in a traditional Hindu marriage ceremony on 25 October 1991, following a six-year courtship. They have a boy Aryan (born 1997) and a girl Suhana (given birth to 2000). In 2013, they truly became parents of any third child named AbRam, who was born by way of a surrogate mother.
