Shah Rukh Khan (blessed Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), also known as SRK, is an Indian film acting professional, television and producer personality. Referred to in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan has a significant following in Asia and the Indian diaspora worldwide. In conditions of audience size and income, he has been referred to as one of the very most successful film actors on earth.

November 1965 in a Muslim family in New Delhi khan was created on 2. He spent the first five years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the principle engineer of the port in the 1960s. Corresponding to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an cultural Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he is a Pathan from Peshawar and his entire family used to speak Hindko terminology at home. Khan's father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian independence activist in Peshawar, English India (present-day Pakistan). As of 2010, Khan's paternal family was still moving into Shah Wali Qataal part of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and affiliated with the All Indian National Congress. He changed to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mother, Lateef Fatima, was the princess of a senior government engineer. His parents were married in 1959. Khan detailed himself on Twitter as "half Hyderabadi (mom), 50 percent Pathan (father), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". Khan was raised in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi. His father had several business ventures including a restaurant, and the grouped family resided a middle-class life in rented rentals. Khan attended St. Columba's University in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in athletics such as hockey and basketball, and received the school's highest award, the Sword of Honour. After Hansraj, he started learning for a master's degree in Mass Marketing communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but remaining to go after his acting profession. He also went to the National College of Drama in Delhi during his early on job in Bollywood. His dad died of cancer tumor in 1981, and his mom passed away in 1991 from issues of diabetes. After the death of their parents, his old sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, blessed in 1960, fell into a depressed condition and Khan needed on the duty of caring for her. Shahnaz continues to live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.
Although Khan was presented with the birth name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is also described by the acronym SRK commonly. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, in a normal Hindu wedding ceremony on 25 October 1991, after a six-year courtship. They have a son Aryan (given birth to 1997) and a princess Suhana (created 2000). In 2013, they became parents of an third child named AbRam, who was simply born by having a surrogate mother. Corresponding to Khan, while he is convinced in Islam firmly, he also prices his wife's religious beliefs. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an can be found next to the Hindu deities.
