Shah Rukh Khan (created Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), also known as SRK, can be an Indian film actor, television and producer personality. Referred to in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan was created on 2 November 1965 in a Muslim family in New Delhi. He spent the first five many years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the chief engineer of the port in the 1960s. Relating to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an ethnic Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he is a Pathan from Peshawar and his whole family used to speak Hindko dialect at home. Khan's father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian independence activist in Peshawar, English India (present-day Pakistan). As of 2010, Khan's paternal family was still moving into Shah Wali Qataal region of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and associated with the All Indian Country wide Congress. He relocated to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan grew in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi up. His father had several business ventures including a restaurant, and the grouped family lived a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's School in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in athletics such as hockey and soccer, and received the school's highest prize, the Sword of Honour. They have a kid Aryan (blessed 1997) and a girl Suhana (given birth to 2000). In 2013, they became parents of the third child known as AbRam, who was born by using a surrogate mother. According to Khan, while he feels in Islam highly, he also values his wife's religion. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an can be found next to the Hindu deities.
