Shah Rukh Khan (given birth to Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), known as SRK also, can be an Indian film acting professional, producer and television personality. Described in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan began his profession with appearances in a number of tv series in the later 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. Early on in his profession, Khan was recognised for portraying villainous jobs in the films Darr (1993), Baazigar (1993) and Anjaam (1994). Then increased to prominence after starring in some romantic motion pictures, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Mohabbatein (2000) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001). He attained critical acclaim for his portrayal of any alcoholic in Devdas (2002), a NASA scientist in Swades (2004), a hockey trainer in Chak De! India (2007) and a man with Asperger symptoms in my own Name Is Khan (2010). His highest-grossing films include the comedies Chennai Exhibit (2013) and Happy New Calendar year (2014). Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in woman family in New Delhi. He spent the first five many years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the principle engineer of the port in the 1960s. Corresponding to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an ethnic Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he is a Pathan from Peshawar and his entire family used to speak Hindko dialect at home. Khan's father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian self-reliance activist in Peshawar, United kingdom India (present-day Pakistan). By 2010, Khan's paternal family was still moving into Shah Wali Qataal area of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and affiliated with the All Indian National Congress. He migrated to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mother, Lateef Fatima, was the princess of a senior federal government engineer. His parents were committed in 1959. Khan identified himself on Twitter as "one half Hyderabadi (mom), 50 % Pathan (dad), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". His paternal cousins in Peshawar declare that the grouped family is of Hindkowan origin from Kashmir, not Pashtun, and contradict the claim that his grandfather was from Afghanistan also.



Khan grew in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi up. His father had several businesses including a restaurant, and the grouped family resided a middle-class life in rented rentals. Khan attended St. Columba's School in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in sports such as hockey and sports, and received the school's highest award, the Sword of Honour. Following the death of these parents, his more aged sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, given birth to in 1960, dropped into a depressed point out and Khan got on the duty of caring for her.
