Shah Rukh Khan (delivered Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), also known as SRK, is an Indian film actor, television and producer personality. Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in woman family in New Delhi. He spent the first five years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the principle engineer of the port in the 1960s. Relating to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an cultural Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he's a Pathan from Peshawar and his complete family used to speak Hindko vocabulary at home. Khan's father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian independence activist in Peshawar, English India (present-day Pakistan). As of 2010, Khan's paternal family was still living in Shah Wali Qataal part of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and affiliated with the All Indian Country wide Congress. He transferred to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mom, Lateef Fatima, was the princess of a senior administration engineer. His parents were wedded in 1959. Khan referred to himself on Twitter as "half Hyderabadi (mom), 50 % Pathan (father), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". His paternal cousins in Peshawar claim that the family is of Hindkowan source from Kashmir, not Pashtun, and contradict the claim that his grandfather was from Afghanistan also.
Khan grew up in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi. His father had several business ventures including a restaurant, and the grouped family resided a middle-class life in rented apartments rentals. Khan attended St. Columba's Institution in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in athletics such as hockey and soccer, and received the school's highest award, the Sword of Honour. In his children, he acted in stage plays and received compliment for his imitations of Bollywood actors, of which his favourites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Mumtaz. One of his childhood friends and acting partners was Amrita Singh, who became a Bollywood actress. Khan enrolled at Hansraj College (1985-88) to earn his bachelor's level in Economics, but put in a lot of his time at Delhi's Theater Action Group (Label), where he researched performing under the mentorship of theater director Barry John. After Hansraj, he started studying for a master's level in Mass Marketing communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but still left to pursue his acting career. He also attended the National University of Drama in Delhi during his early career in Bollywood. His daddy died of malignancy in 1981, and his mom died in 1991 from problems of diabetes. After the death of these parents, his more aged sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, delivered in 1960, fell into a frustrated Khan and condition required on the responsibility of looking after her. Shahnaz continues to live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.
Although Khan was presented with the delivery name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is often described by the acronym SRK. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, october 1991 in a normal Hindu wedding ceremony on 25, after a six-year courtship. They have a son Aryan (born 1997) and a girl Suhana (delivered 2000). In 2013, they truly became parents of an third child known as AbRam, who was simply born by way of a surrogate mother. According to Khan, while he firmly is convinced in Islam, he also prices his wife's religious beliefs. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an can be found next to the Hindu deities.
