Shah Rukh Khan (born Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), also known as SRK, can be an Indian film actor, television and producer personality. He spent the first five years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the principle engineer of the port in the 1960s. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he is a Pathan from Peshawar and his entire family used to speak Hindko dialect at home. Khan's daddy, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian independence activist in Peshawar, English India (present-day Pakistan). By 2010, Khan's paternal family was still moving into Shah Wali Qataal area of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and associated with the All Indian National Congress. He relocated to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mother, Lateef Fatima, was the child of a senior federal government engineer. His parents were committed in 1959. Khan identified himself on Twitter as "1 / 2 Hyderabadi (mother), 50 percent Pathan (father), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". Khan grew in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi up. His father had several businesses including a restaurant, and the grouped family lived a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's College in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in activities such as hockey and basketball, and received the school's highest honor, the Sword of Honour. In his youngsters, he acted in stage takes on and received compliment for his imitations of Bollywood celebrities, which his favourites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Mumtaz. One of his childhood friends and acting partners was Amrita Singh, who became a Bollywood actress. After Hansraj, he began studying for a master's degree in Mass Marketing communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but kept to go after his acting career. He also attended the National College of Dilemma in Delhi during his early career in Bollywood. His daddy died of cancer in 1981, and his mother perished in 1991 from difficulties of diabetes. After the death with their parents, his more aged sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, born in 1960, fell into a frustrated condition and Khan took on the duty of looking after her. Shahnaz continues to live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.


Although Khan was presented with the delivery name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and it is referred to by the acronym SRK commonly. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony on 25 October 1991, after a six-year courtship. They have a son Aryan (created 1997) and a girl Suhana (born 2000). In 2013, they truly became parents of an third child called AbRam, who was born by way of a surrogate mother. Regarding to Khan, while he thinks in Islam strongly, he also prices his wife's faith.
