Khan commenced his profession with appearances in a number of tv series in the later 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. After Hansraj, he began studying for a master's degree in Mass Marketing communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but still left to pursue his acting job. He also attended the National School of Dilemma in Delhi during his early profession in Bollywood. His father died of cancers in 1981, and his mom died in 1991 from difficulties of diabetes. Following the death of their parents, his elderly sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, given birth to in 1960, fell into a frustrated Khan and talk about had taken on the responsibility of caring for her.
