Shah Rukh Khan (given birth to Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), known as SRK also, is an Indian film actor, television and producer personality. Khan started out his career with appearances in several television set series in the late 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in woman family in New Delhi. He spent the first five years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the chief engineer of the port in the 1960s. According to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an cultural Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he's a Pathan from Peshawar and his whole family used to speak Hindko language at home. Khan's dad, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian self-reliance activist in Peshawar, British isles India (present-day Pakistan). By 2010, Khan's paternal family was still moving into Shah Wali Qataal part of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and affiliated with the All Indian Country wide Congress. He changed to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mother, Lateef Fatima, was the little girl of a senior federal engineer. His parents were committed in 1959. Khan grew in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi up. His father had several business ventures including a restaurant, and the grouped family lived a middle-class life in rented rentals. Khan attended St. Columba's School in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in sports activities such as hockey and soccer, and received the school's highest honor, the Sword of Honour. In his children, he acted in stage plays and received reward for his imitations of Bollywood actors, which his favourites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Mumtaz. One of is own childhood friends and acting partners was Amrita Singh, who became a Bollywood actress. Khan enrolled at Hansraj School (1985-88) to earn his bachelor's degree in Economics, but put in much of his time at Delhi's Theatre Action Group (TAG), where he researched behaving under the mentorship of theatre director Barry John. After Hansraj, he started out studying for a master's degree in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but left to go after his acting career. He also attended the National University of Crisis in Delhi during his early on career in Bollywood. His father died of tumors in 1981, and his mom passed on in 1991 from difficulties of diabetes. Following the death with their parents, his more aged sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, created in 1960, dropped into a stressed out condition and Khan required on the duty of looking after her. Shahnaz is constantly on the live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.


Although Khan was presented with the birth name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is commonly described by the acronym SRK. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, october 1991 in a normal Hindu marriage ceremony on 25, after a six-year courtship. They have a child Aryan (created 1997) and a child Suhana (created 2000). In 2013, they truly became parents of any third child named AbRam, who was born through a surrogate mother. Regarding to Khan, while he strongly believes in Islam, he also values his wife's faith. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an can be found next to the Hindu deities.
