Shah Rukh Khan (born Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), also known as SRK, can be an Indian film acting professional, television and producer personality. Khan was raised in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi. His father had several business ventures including a restaurant, and the family lived a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's Institution in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in activities such as hockey and sports, and received the school's highest honor, the Sword of Honour. In his youngsters, he acted in stage works and received compliment for his imitations of Bollywood actors, which his favourites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Mumtaz. One of his childhood friends and acting partners was Amrita Singh, who became a Bollywood actress. Khan enrolled at Hansraj College or university (1985-88) to earn his bachelor's level in Economics, but spent a lot of his time at Delhi's Theater Action Group (TAG), where he researched operating under the mentorship of theater director Barry John. After Hansraj, he commenced studying for a master's level in Mass Marketing communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but still left to go after his acting job. He also went to the National School of Dilemma in Delhi during his early career in Bollywood. His father died of cancer tumor in 1981, and his mother passed away in 1991 from difficulties of diabetes. After the death of the parents, his aged sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, born in 1960, fell into a stressed out status and Khan took on the duty of looking after her. Shahnaz continues to live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.


Although Khan was given the labor and birth name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is often referred to by the acronym SRK. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, in a normal Hindu marriage ceremony on 25 October 1991, following a six-year courtship. They have a kid Aryan (born 1997) and a princess Suhana (created 2000). In 2013, they truly became parents of the third child named AbRam, who was simply born by way of a surrogate mother.
