Shah Rukh Khan (born Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), known as SRK also, is an Indian film acting professional, television and producer personality. Referred to in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan has a significant following in Asia and the Indian diaspora worldwide. In terms of audience income and size, he has been described as one of the very most successful film actors in the world.

Khan started his profession with appearances in several television series in the later 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. Early on in his profession, Khan was accepted for portraying villainous tasks in the movies Darr (1993), Baazigar (1993) and Anjaam (1994). He then increased to prominence after starring in a series of romantic movies, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Mohabbatein (2000) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001). He attained critical acclaim for his portrayal of any alcoholic in Devdas (2002), a NASA scientist in Swades (2004), a hockey trainer in Chak De! India (2007) and a man with Asperger syndrome in my own Name Is Khan (2010). His highest-grossing films are the comedies Chennai Exhibit (2013) and Happy New Year (2014). Khan was created on 2 November 1965 in lady family in New Delhi. He spent the first five many years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the principle engineer of the port in the 1960s. Matching to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an ethnic Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he is a Pathan from Peshawar and his complete family used to speak Hindko terminology at home. Khan's daddy, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian freedom activist in Peshawar, British isles India (present-day Pakistan). Khan's mother, Lateef Fatima, was the child of a senior authorities engineer. His parents were wedded in 1959. His paternal cousins in Peshawar claim that the family is of Hindkowan origin from Kashmir, not Pashtun, and also contradict the declare that his grandfather was from Afghanistan.



Khan grew up in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi. His father had several business ventures including a restaurant, and the family lived a middle-class life in rented apartments. Although Khan was given the delivery name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is often described by the acronym SRK. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony on 25 October 1991, following a six-year courtship. They have a boy Aryan (delivered 1997) and a little princess Suhana (delivered 2000). In 2013, they truly became parents of your third child called AbRam, who was born through a surrogate mother. Corresponding to Khan, while he is convinced in Islam strongly, he also values his wife's religious beliefs.
