Khan began his career with appearances in several tv series in the overdue 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. Khan was created on 2 November 1965 in a Muslim family in New Delhi. Khan described himself on Twitter as "50 % Hyderabadi (mother), 50 % Pathan (daddy), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". His paternal cousins in Peshawar claim that the grouped family is of Hindkowan origins from Kashmir, not Pashtun, and also contradict the declare that his grandfather was from Afghanistan.

Although Khan was presented with the delivery name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is often described by the acronym SRK. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, october 1991 in a normal Hindu wedding ceremony on 25, after having a six-year courtship. They have a son Aryan (created 1997) and a girl Suhana (delivered 2000). In 2013, they became parents of the third child known as AbRam, who was born by way of a surrogate mother. According to Khan, while he highly is convinced in Islam, he also prices his wife's faith. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an is situated next to the Hindu deities.
