Shah Rukh Khan (given birth to Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), also known as SRK, is an Indian film professional, producer and tv set personality. Referred to in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan commenced his career with appearances in several television series in the late 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. Early on in his profession, Khan was recognized for portraying villainous jobs in the films Darr (1993), Baazigar (1993) and Anjaam (1994). He then rose to prominence after starring in a series of romantic motion pictures, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Mohabbatein (2000) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001). He acquired critical acclaim for his portrayal of alcoholic in Devdas (2002), a NASA scientist in Swades (2004), a hockey instructor in Chak De! India (2007) and a guy with Asperger symptoms in my own Name Is Khan (2010). His highest-grossing videos are the comedies Chennai Exhibit (2013) and Happy New Time (2014). Many of his movies screen designs of Indian national contacts and personal information with diaspora areas, or gender, racial, social and religious distinctions and grievances. Khan's daddy, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian freedom activist in Peshawar, United kingdom India (present-day Pakistan). By 2010, Khan's paternal family was still moving into Shah Wali Qataal portion of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and affiliated with the All Indian National Congress. He changed to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. He also went to the National University of Theatre in Delhi during his early job in Bollywood. His daddy died of tumor in 1981, and his mother passed away in 1991 from issues of diabetes. Following the death with their parents, his old sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, given birth to in 1960, fell into a frustrated Khan and state required on the responsibility of looking after her. Relating to Khan, while he strongly believes in Islam, he also prices his wife's faith. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an can be found next to the Hindu deities.
