Shah Rukh Khan (created Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), known as SRK also, can be an Indian film professional, television and producer personality. Described in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan has a significant following in Asia and the Indian diaspora worldwide. In conditions of audience size and income, he has been referred to as one of the very most successful film actors in the global world.

Khan began his career with appearances in a number of television series in the later 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. Early in his career, Khan was recognized for portraying villainous functions in the videos Darr (1993), Baazigar (1993) and Anjaam (1994). He then increased to prominence after starring in a series of romantic motion pictures, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Mohabbatein (2000) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001). He gained critical acclaim for his portrayal of any alcoholic in Devdas (2002), a NASA scientist in Swades (2004), a hockey coach in Chak De! India (2007) and a guy with Asperger syndrome in My Name Is Khan (2010). His highest-grossing videos are the comedies Chennai Exhibit (2013) and Happy New Time (2014). November 1965 in a Muslim family in New Delhi khan was born on 2. He spent the first five many years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the principle engineer of the port in the 1960s. Matching to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an ethnic Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he's a Pathan from Peshawar and his whole family used to speak Hindko vocabulary at home. Khan's daddy, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian self-reliance activist in Peshawar, English India (present-day Pakistan). As of 2010, Khan's paternal family was still residing in Shah Wali Qataal area of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and associated with the All Indian National Congress. He transferred to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mother, Lateef Fatima, was the girl of a older authorities engineer. His parents were married in 1959. Khan identified himself on Twitter as "50 % Hyderabadi (mom), 50 percent Pathan (daddy), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". His paternal cousins in Peshawar declare that the grouped family is of Hindkowan origins from Kashmir, not Pashtun, and also contradict the claim that his grandfather was from Afghanistan.



Khan grew in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi up. His father had several business ventures including a restaurant, and the family lived a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's Institution in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in sports activities such as hockey and football, and received the school's highest award, the Sword of Honour. In his young ones, he acted in stage plays and received praise for his imitations of Bollywood actors, which his favourites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Mumtaz and Bachchan. Khan enrolled at Hansraj University (1985-88) to earn his bachelor's level in Economics, but spent a lot of his time at Delhi's Theater Action Group (TAG), where he researched behaving under the mentorship of theatre director Barry John. After Hansraj, he commenced learning for a master's level in Mass Marketing communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but still left to go after his acting job. He also attended the National Institution of Crisis in Delhi during his early on career in Bollywood. His daddy died of cancers in 1981, and his mom perished in 1991 from complications of diabetes. After the death of the parents, his aged sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, created in 1960, dropped into a stressed out condition and Khan took on the responsibility of caring for her. Shahnaz is constantly on the live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.


Although Khan was given the labor and birth name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is also described by the acronym SRK commonly. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, in a normal Hindu marriage ceremony on 25 October 1991, after having a six-year courtship. They have a child Aryan (blessed 1997) and a daughter Suhana (given birth to 2000). In 2013, they became parents of the third child named AbRam, who was born via a surrogate mother. Relating to Khan, while he strongly thinks in Islam, he also values his wife's religion. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an can be found next to the Hindu deities.
