Shah Rukh Khan (delivered Shahrukh Khan; 2 November 1965), known as SRK also, is an Indian film acting professional, producer and tv set personality. Referred to in the media as the "Baadshah of Bollywood", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan", he has appeared in more than 80 Bollywood films, and earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan commenced his career with appearances in a number of tv set series in the later 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. India (2007) and a man with Asperger symptoms in my own Name Is Khan (2010). His highest-grossing movies are the comedies Chennai Exhibit (2013) and Happy New Year (2014). Many of his videos screen themes or templates of Indian national identity and relationships with diaspora areas, or gender, racial, social and religious dissimilarities and grievances. For his contributions to film, the federal government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri, and the federal government of France awarded him both the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the L?gion d'honneur.

He spent the first five years of his life in Mangalore, where his maternal grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, served as the principle engineer of the port in the 1960s. Matching to Khan, his paternal grandfather, Jan Muhammad, an ethnic Pathan was from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan also said in his interviews that he's a Pathan from Peshawar and his whole family used to speak Hindko vocabulary at home. Khan's daddy, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian self-reliance activist in Peshawar, British isles India (present-day Pakistan). By 2010, Khan's paternal family was still living in Shah Wali Qataal part of Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. Meer was a follower of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and affiliated with the All Indian National Congress. He moved to New Delhi in 1948 partition of India. Khan's mother, Lateef Fatima, was the daughter of a senior federal government engineer. His parents were wedded in 1959. Khan defined himself on Twitter as "1 / 2 Hyderabadi (mother), 1 / 2 Pathan (daddy), [and] some Kashmiri (grandmother)". Khan was raised in the Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood of Delhi. His father had several business ventures including a restaurant, and the family lived a middle-class life in rented apartments. Khan attended St. Columba's Institution in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and in activities such as hockey and soccer, and received the school's highest award, the Sword of Honour. In his youth, he acted in level works and received compliment for his imitations of Bollywood stars, of which his favourites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Mumtaz and Bachchan. One of his childhood friends and acting partners was Amrita Singh, who became a Bollywood actress. Khan enrolled at Hansraj University (1985-88) to earn his bachelor's degree in Economics, but put in much of his time at Delhi's Theatre Action Group (Label), where he researched behaving under the mentorship of theatre director Barry John. After Hansraj, he started out studying for a master's degree in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but remaining to pursue his acting career. He also went to the National Institution of Play in Delhi during his early job in Bollywood. His father died of cancer in 1981, and his mom perished in 1991 from complications of diabetes. After the death of the parents, his older sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh, born in 1960, dropped into a depressed state and Khan needed on the duty of caring for her. Shahnaz is constantly on the live with her brother and his family in their Mumbai mansion.
Although Khan was presented with the birth name Shahrukh Khan, he prefers his name to be written as Shah Rukh Khan, and is often described by the acronym SRK. He married Gauri Chibber, a Punjabi Hindu, in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony on 25 October 1991, after a six-year courtship. They have a kid Aryan (delivered 1997) and a little princess Suhana (given birth to 2000). In 2013, they truly became parents of a third child known as AbRam, who was simply born via a surrogate mother. Corresponding to Khan, while he is convinced in Islam strongly, he also prices his wife's religious beliefs. His children follow both religions; at home the Qur'an can be found next to the Hindu deities.
